What may seem to some as a simple childhood toy is one of the main reasons why Ryan Schulok chose to go into engineering and design. Playing with LEGO and building blocks as a child helped unlock his interest in these fields. What ensued for this experience is a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in architectural engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a career as a mechanical engineer with the AKF Group. He earned the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in 2017. While matriculating, he maintained a mechanical engineer internship with his later employment. Mr. Schulok attributes his success to having the drive to go above and beyond, and having the confidence to step up to challenges. He is proficient in using Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam. Looking toward the future, Mr. Schulok endeavors to become a leader within his company and overseeing mechanical engineering groups. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Yvette Gramignano, and partaking in outdoor sports such as wakeboarding.
